Chamblee Chicks 101

We host this class twice/year in the Fall and Spring. Please check our calendar and contact us to be added to our email list for dates and registration information on our next upcoming class.  

Class Details:

Come join your neighbors as we learn everything you need to know about raising backyard chickens in Chamblee. This introductory course will be taught by Keep Chamblee Beautiful volunteers and will cover:

  • Chamblee’s “urban farming” code.
  • How to get started (buying chickens, coops/cages, equipment, food, etc).
  • Important chicky things to know.
  • Walking tour of 2 urban coops and flocks in Huntley Hills.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.  

This Chamblee Chicks 101 course is designed for anyone thinking of getting their own backyard chickens and/or anyone just wanting to learn something new and make new friends.

The course is $25/person but FREE to members (tip: membership only costs $25).

The class is capped at 30 people, first come, first serve, including children (yes, children are welcomed and encouraged to attend).
